Hi,

For how long time can you use a workspace? We have to clear it after a couple of months(, sometimes weeks if you workwith awhat we call larger assy with 500 prts)because othervise it will get verry slow. We use Windchill 7.0.

Do you have the same problem?

Olaus

Yes but also different..

We have some cases where the workspaces havebeen corrupted.
In these cases the only way around was finally to delete them.
- So yes you are not alone ! - But have you logged any case on this !?
Becauce I have not done so,though it is not reproducable but VERY irritating.

Thanks for your reply,

I have logged one case, and that one was reproducable. Ibelieve they have fixed it by now. The other cases are not logged becausethey arenot reproducable.

For how long time have you had Windchill at ABB? Thought you were using IntraLink? Do you use Windchill 8.0, what do you think about it?

Hmmm it not that simple... ABB contains of many buisness units and to my knowledge we have 2 Windchill installations. Our is a 7.0 and we plan (hopefully) to migrate to 8.0 after the vaccations. The other one is a special one based upon windchill foundation migrated towards 7.0 with ProjectLink (problems with non unique filenames).

What I have see of PDMLink 8 so faar is a improvement of what we have today. Regarding content and attribute handling.
But withPTCyounever knows what might pops up, but I hope thatthey put down some effort in improving prestanda and the workgroup manager.
