WIRE ROPE

Hi all,



I'm trying to sketch a telescopic linear module, the assembly should be connected by wire rope.

Is it possible in wildfire to draw a flexible wire, and connect it on both ends to something... I'm not so much confident about it.

I think we can model the rope and create a family table for it..

so, in the assembly it will ask you for which family you want to pick.. and you also can have the drawing that will get the rope spec by picking the actual rope dimension before assemble..

hey thanks for getting back,

but didn't understand what ur point is: do u mean that i model it as a solid and just set some parameters to be modified in the family table for multiple instances?

it is a fine idea but is it good for mechanism and connection purposes? i mean what if i need to check assembly motion?
