Wire edm tutorials

Hello !


I use Pro/NC for 3 axis milling. Have done for about5 years now. Ive just been told that they want me to start using Pro/NC to create programs for the wire edm machine.

.. Unfortunately, i have no experience in creating edm toolpaths. Does anyone know of any tutorials for usingPro/NC to create Wire EDM CAM data??

Wire edm is very much like using trajectory ncsequence. Only differance is no Z axis. Height is used for 4 / 5 axis edm to control point for wire output. The realconcern will be the post processor.


Onemore known issueto look out for is leadin leadout placing the wire loadpt in the incorrect location in cldata. This issue has been turned into ptc for a fix
