Wildfire SE licensing

I've heard you need a license code of some sort from PTC in order to install and run Wildfire SE. A friend of mine owns a computer (Dell Latitude notebook) with a graphics card Mobility Radeon) which isn't listed as one of PTC's supported cards. However, from what I've heard that doesn't necessarily mean the card won't work. I'm looking at buying the same laptop, but want to know beforehand if the graphics card will work and so am planning on buying Wildfire SE and installing it on his computer to see if it works. My question is, if it does work on his computer and I go ahead and buy the same computer, will I have any troubles with installing Wildfire on my computer after it has already been installed on my friends'? Are there any restrictions in the program which would prevent me from installing the software a second time? Of course, I would uninstall the program from the first computer.

Thanks,

Aaron

I have the same dell and it is not bad, limitation with the radeon card are that you can only really have 3 windows of proe open at once, and it is really rubbish with mechanica results it locksup...

How does one license Wildfire SE? A co-worked gave me a copy of SE and told me to take it home and start learning it. It wanted an existing license or to register with PTC. I'm already registered. I can not see links to register or determine what to do. How do I get a license for Wildfire SE?????

Come on PTC get with it!!! No wonder Solidworks is catching on so quickly.........

RE Wildfire Licensing, go to

The main website is at

I know...getting a license is nearly as hard as learning the software

I have spent alot of time dealing with licensing and moving them around from machine to machine, its a bit of a trick but once you learn it it comes quick. (PS take notes in case you need to do it again!)

spavlich,

so I can reinstall wildfire on another laptop, as long as i take it off the previous one? Is that what you're saying?

Thanks,

Aaron
