Wildfire 3.0 Mechanica Install

We were running WF 1.0 for a while. Recently purchased WF 3.0.

I finally installed Flexnet to run both 1.0 and 3.0. From ProE,both versionspull the license just fine. I can also pull Mechanica license just fine via WF 1.0.

Now, if I try to run Mechanica from WF3.0, it will give me an error. It says "unable to get required license, please contact your representative."

I noticed a slight difference from the PTC setup. I am attaching screenshots. It is from the same license file. I don't know why 3.0 acts differently.

Thank you for the help.

Look in your license file and see what version the software is valid for. You see a line like this for your Mechanica licenses. If it only says Wildfire, then the Mechanica licenses did not get upgraded.

#MECBASICENG_License 5 Pro/ENGINEER Mechanica&nb sp;&nb sp; Wildfire 3.0 Flt Lic perm

Thanks. It does show Wildfire 3.0. It was not an upgrade to begin with. Anything else I should check?

When you did the install, did you do the interconnect to tell Pro/E where Mechanica is?

Are you trying to run a structural analysis or a motion analysis? It looks like you don't have motion with WF3.

Thank you so much.

I didn't tell ProE where Mechanica was installed. I didn't know 3.0 PTC Setuphad a check box option to do it. It works fine for both 1.0 and 3.0 version.

As always, this forum rocks.
