Why is it?

We use PDMLink so maybe this is part of the problem. but then again, PDMLink and ProE are both PTC products so you'd think they'd work together.

Anyway, Here's the situation.

I have several files open.
I want to open another file that has not been checked out.
I open it from the file open browser and PDM/ProE tells me the file is not checked out, do I want to check it out now.
I say yes.
File then opens but the window that I see is not of the part that I just opened.
I then have to go to the Window pull down to select the window of the part that I just opened, which is listed as actually being the active window yet it isn't. Drive me nuts. if I open a file, why can't the software actually stay on that window while it does all its stuff in the background.

For that matter, why can't I <alt><tab? to any open Pro-E file without having to then activate the visible window?

It's totally seamless to <ctrl><tab> between open files in SW!
