Where used

I need to how how to find where parts &/or assemblies are used. I am in need of changing file names and I want to prevent having to redefind mutiple assemblies.

Search for FINDMYMOTHER, it is a handy utility that will search your file system for upper level objects that reference a part or sub-assembly.

I used to be able to do the same thing with the Windoz search function but MS improved it so that doesn't work anymore.

I was looking at the old thread where dr_gallup explained how he can do it with MS explorer.

Tried it and failed miserably.

I them found this new post. Findmymother does what it says it does. A pdm would do the job but as fas as I am concerned, I am pleased.
