WF 3.0/Pro E Viewer Needed

I am looking for a viewer that will accommodate our admin staff to look at drawings. Any help would be appreciated. Use Pro E M190 and Intralink M030. WF 3.0.

Hey Branedon,

I don't know any program that can look at native ProE drawing files (*.drw). However, ProE contains the capability to export ProE drawings to DXF which can be read by many free viewers. Also, although I haven't really tested it myself, I believe some PDF creation capability is built-in into ProE WF 3.0 without a seperate Adobe Acrobat license. Exporting ProE drawing files into PDF form also allows drawing markup within Adobe Acrobat 7.0.

Hope this helps.

Hello Branedon,

I believe the viewer in INTRALINK can manage to view Pro/E drawing. Besides,
you can also view directly with productview express to view drw files. Just
FYI, Intralink is also using the same viewer - productview express.

I think the reason you are not able to preview your drw file is the config setting, instead of viewer.

take a look on this post. hope it help

ProductView from PTC can do it. It can also be setup to work together with Intralink. It is also build in in PdmLink and in Division graphic server. You can also purchase it as stand alone

try the edrawings viewer - free download from solidworks, but you would have to save drw files as dwg for viewing

In the config options of Pro/E set the option save_drawing_picture_picture_file = yes.

Now you can use Productview or Productview express to view your drawings.
