way to report mass units..

Is there a way of to query the model or assembly member to the units of the model.
Specifically I have a column in the BOM report that displays the mass of an item (pro_mp_mass) but I wish to display the units (lbs, grams, Kg)

Anyway of doing this?

You can do it by creating a parameter (MASS) and setting the units and creating a relationMASS=PRO_MP_MASS. Inthe assembly drawings BOM to get the units you select asm.mbr.ptc_units.USER_DEFINED and type MASS. If you select the properties of the table cell the report parameter will be &asm.mbr.ptc_unit.mass.

Yep that works, but lets make this even a little more useful - On a part drawing (so just one part) I need to pull the units so the mass will be listed on the sheet with the unit measure - so in the model I still have

relation mass=pro_mp_mass (and setting to unit sensitive)

so how would I get the units?

Create a repeat region and use:


&mbr.mass &mbr.ptc_unit.mass
