Very Slow Pro/I Check Out

<DIV>I am Trying to Check Out an Assembly Using Intralink 3.4 which has around 2500 parts70% of which are standard parts like fasteners and others.</DIV>
<DIV>The time taken for Check out is nearly Half an hour.</DIV>
<DIV>Is there any method to Quicken the Check Out Process?</DIV>
<DIV>My only task is Slight modification of the Assy Drawing & Model.</DIV>
<DIV>What is the effect of Unchecking the "Option Retrieve Family table Instances" during check out?</DIV>
<DIV>Any suggestions will be greatly Appreciated.</DIV>

Hmmm, what build codes of Pro/E and Intralink are you using?


I seem to remember that there was an issue with a particular build of pro/e and/or Intralink that caused long delays when trying to check out files from Commonspace.

Not sure if you found your answer yet. We had a similar issue with McAfee scanning all the files when you checked them in or out from the server which held Common space. Not sure if this is your problem. We turned that option off and wasfaster.
