VERICUT Startup / Setup and other quirks

I wonder if there's an easy way to set up Vericut (WF3 Embedded) to automatically startup with the following setup:

- Stop at every Toolchange
- Max. Errors - 1
- Max. Warnings - 1

Also, sometimes Vericut treats the Design model as Fixture model - is there any way to re-assign that inside Vericut?

And lastly - how do I find out the CL command to control Vericut, e.g. cut color change at any given point of the toolpath, pause command, etc. I remember using some of that in my ancient (CATIA V4) past, but I forgot... and can't find my notes either

You can do this pretty easily. Start Vericut and get a new (empty) session going. Set your stop conditions, etc, and save the user file as proe.usr. Put the proe.usr file into you proe loadpoint\architecture\vericut folder. If you are on 32-bit Windows, it will be something like:

C:\ptc\proewildfire3.0\i486_nt\vericut

It will read this file each time you start. There are also default files there - proe.usr and proem.usr. You could hand-edit those too if you want, but they are pretty lengthy.

As for design/fixture, you need to make certain that you have set up the job correctly. All fixture components should be assembled in through the Fixture tab in the Operation setup. Everything else goes into Vericut as 'design'.

Ah yes, the proem.usr, thanks Peter.

But for the design/fixture mixup I'm still puzzled... I know that fixtures need to be ass'd through at the Operation stage and we do that. But what I meant was that sometimes Vericut takes the actual ProE design model and assigns the Fixture label to it, so I end up having set of Stock and Fixture in Vericut but no Design to check against. Weird.
 
Very. That is not something I have encountered, and we do 15 or so new parts a week, all of which go through Vericut. I assume you are adding the ref model and workpiece to the mfg assembly in the traditional way?
