thank you all for the usefull tips


see i have a doubt i hope u people can help me


when you go for drafting after creating views


we will place the dimension


by default the dimension it creates in num.dimm


for every time we have to click the created dimension and there properties


and change it to inch





i want to set the default value to inch


so that every time i create dimension it has to give in inch


pleas help me in this regards

I guess millimeters is the default unit in the drawing mode, and I too am annoyed with this. Instead on right clicking on the dimension and going to its properties, just click on the dimension, on the top of the screen, you'll see a drop down menu that says NUM.DIMM. Simply change that to NUM.DINC.

Clicking on a dim and changing from NUM.DIMM TO NUM,DIMM every time takes times.(Its fine with few dimensions in dwg).


Suggest you to complete entire drg and have aFIND on dimensions, select all fromFIND window,then follow step as said by zoltrix2k.
 
when u make a new drawing select ansi standard (ISO is always in mm).

Or u can change the iso.xml (drafting standard) to work in inch
