Trouble Patterning Holes in Swept Profile

Hello,

I'm a newcomer to SolidWorks an I'm struggling to make
one particular part for an assembly. My goal for the
assembly is to illustrate a concept for a special type of
perforated tape passing from one reel to another reel.
The part I am stuck on is the tape coiled onto itself
around the reel hub.

To coil the tape, I am sweeping a profile sketch
following a helix path that has a slightly larger pitch
than the thickness of the tape. This works well.
However, I cannot seem to find a way to add patterned
holes in the tape to represent the perforations.

Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I do not see how
to accomplish this with the wrap feature or any of the
cut features.

Attached are two files in a zip archive: one
representing a flat stretch of tape with patterned hole
perforations, the other is the coiled tape that I am
trying to add the same holes to.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
David
