I have been having to do quite a bit of data translation from Pro/Engineer Wildfire 2.0 to Catia v5r16 and was wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions for the optimal way of doing this. So far I have been having the most success with translating step files but sometimes I will import a file into Catia and it will be a solid and then sometimes it will be surfaces even though the original model from Pro/Engineer is a solid. Is there a reason why it does this? Any tips or suggestions or lessons learned would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance!
