trajpar problems

I am trying to use a variable section sweep to rotate a surface along a
trajectory. My problem is that every time I try to do this, trajpar
evaluates to zero and the surfaces doesn't rotate around the trajectory
(it just stays parallel to it). I'm using a relation like
D6=trajpar*360 where D6 is the angle of the surface. I don't understand
why this won't work.
