Next time you modify your table settings, hit the 'create' button to save your settings. Then make this setting your WS default:
Preferences / Configurations / Workspace
As for the column widths, there is no way to save this, but the best alternative is to shift-right-click on the column header of the first column to optimize all widths based on the widest thing in that column (either content or header),
