syncronize .proi folder on different pc

Is it possible to syncronize the workspace on 2 different machines (home/work)
so i can take work home without taking home a complete pc and syncronizethe whole.proi foldernext morning?

The .proi directory is on different locations on these machines, is there a way around this( to syncronize these 2 folders)?
we are running intralink with manufactering code:2000470
the local ddb and workspaces are located like this:
machine home:C:\Documents and Settings\My Name\.proi
machine at work: C:\Documents and Settings\MN\.proi

I think you at least will need to copy the local database and the folder with the needed workspace. I think I would copy all folder structure and the only copy the needed ws folder. Try to test it. Remember to make abackup first.

I think you will need to use same location. You can change the location on both pc'er to ex. c:\ptc\local_work\.proi I think there are a commandline tool that can remap the local database if the location have changed. Try to look in the proiclient\bin folder.

Have tried to copy everything inside the .proi folder to the other pc, when opening the workspace al files show in the workspace browser, so far so good until you try to open a file then proe shows themessage:could not retrieve...
So i guess we have to try to remap...
In the proiclient bin folder there is something called: replicate_folder.bat is this the commandlinetool youre talking aboutfor remapping the ddb?
Maybe a stupid question but how does this work(step by step)?

It would work as long as the variable is set to the same location on both machines. If not then you won't be able to retrieve the files in Pro/E because it will be looking for the location that they were originally checked out to. Just make your home machine match the one at work and you should be okay.

The toll I was writing about is ..\proiclient34\i486_nt\obj\ldbconvert.exe. is you start the toll from a commandprompt you will get some instaructions.

But if change of pdm_ldb_path is enought then it is great

Changing the pdm_ldb_path doesn't seem to affect the system, have set the path to a new location deleted the old .proi directory copied my .proi folder from the other machine to the new locationrebooted thepc and started intralink. result: intralink creates a new .proi and Local.ddb on the same old location.

Then I did an attempt to use ldbconvert, didn't succeed with this either...seems at there is something going wrong with the path (maybe spaces in the name?) documents and settings, the dos prompt returns an error saying something like:Error 2408 bla, bla ,bla Argument 1: C:\Documents:.proi:Local.ddb

Any suggestions?
