Sweeping a predefined 3D trajectory.

I have the Student Edition of Wildfire. When I attempt to sweep a 3D trajectory created from three indepentent splines between four points, the middle spline made tangent to the two ends, the programs replies that it is not a valid trajectory. Any help. I accomplished the same thing in the Student Edition of Pro\E 2001. This is an example in Toogood's Advanced Tutorial for Release 2001.

I am sorry. I should have ask about a variable secton sweep of a 3D trajectory or spline created from four points in space in Wildfire. I finally did it using a similar technique used in Pro\E 2001.
