STYLE and datum axis

rodo

New member
Does anybody knows why is impossible to make simple datum axis on a style feature in a case that I want to show two references, such as datum plane + style surface. It is possible to reference only with two datum planes, but not with plane + surface.

Do you have a screen shot? You cant make an axis through a surface that
isnt cylindrical but I am not sure if thats what you mean.

it looks like it only works with regular surfaces. arent
idiosyncracies fun.... if the style surface has a boundry curve on the
plane though, you can create an axis thru the boundry curve. plan
B, you have to create datum points for the axis the old fashion way i guess. plan c
- make another datum plane where the surface is and use it for 2nd
reference for your datum axis.
