Starting CATIA with no workbench

Here is a short tip about how to start or launch CATIA V5 without any active


workbench. So that you can open CATIA V5 more quickly, becausewhen youopen


it after you work with highest capacity file previously, it will give effect when re-open


or re-launch CATIA V5 main window.


The following steps may help you:


1. Right click on My Computer from Start Menu


2. Select Properties


3. System Properties will appear, click Advanced Tab


4. At user variables, click New


5. Type CATNoStartDocument as a variable name and yes as variable value

you can also use
Variable CNEXTBACKGROUND Value=NO
Variable CNEXTSPLASHSCREEN Value=NO

If you have admin right you can set all 3 variables on System

thanks for the tip, i have been looking for that for a couple years, i have only been in catia for about 2 years and i have asked alot of people and nobody could do it, not even the teachers where i got my certificates.
