How are you opening the new part? The message you describe normally comes up when youhave SolidWorks already open and you open a second session. The journal is to do with recovery information, and means that it will not save information to recover if the second (third, or fourth..) session crashes.
If you open a new part within SolidWorks using File>New Part, this should not happen. if it continues it might be a problem with your particular system, and I would contact your SolidWorks support supplier for assistance.
