Solidworks HELP

HI folks , im from IIT Bombay ... i have two parts , a 30 mm bar and a 0.2mm thick profile that has varying cross section from a petal like structure to a circle along its length . i have to remove this 0.2 mm thick part from the bar .. the combine feature in solidworks shows me an error - Zero thickness Geometry ... HELP !!!

This is the part .. 0.2 mm thick, that has to be removed from a solid bar of 40mm dia
