solidworks 2006 with windows vista??

can someone please tell me if solidworks 2006 will work on windows vista!!?

According to the Solidworks website, 2008 is the only release supported for Vista. I don't know if this means 2006 won't work with Vista.

I was training a guy who was running SW 2006 on Vista.


He changed the settings so that when he started SW 2006, it used an earlier version of windows, can't remember exactly which worked, whether it was 98 or XP. It definetely did work though he had quite a bit of difficulty getting it set up to begin with.

I've been able to run SW 2007 SP4 on a new vista system without problems. I never did try to run SW 2006 though.

Most Solidworks version do actually work on Vista, but you do need to go into the properties as the administator to make a few changes.
