solid bodies into assembly

Hi
I have an assembly of several part(about 10).
One of this parts contain 4 Solid Bodies.
My question is how do i turn this Solid Bodies into assembly parts? Is it any painless way to do it? Mainly reason i need this, is because i cant make expanded view with solid bodies to place spot weld in sw simulation.

Alex,

It all depends on the geometry, but I would copy that part into 4 parts (copy/paste in windows) and for each part open it up and delete the bodies you don't want. Then assemble. There are other ways, but I think this would be the fastest.

You can convert a multi body part to an assembly.

HI Alex,


You could make four configurations of the part. In each one add a 'Delete Bodies' feature to suppress the other parts. Then either copy the part in four times or pattern with a very small pitch.
