Skeleton Part in Assembly Models

Makes assemblies extremely fluid and friendly.

Create a Skeleton Part in your assembly first before assembling any components.

COMPONENT > CREATE > SKELETON MODEL

This will add a SKEL.prt as the first component in the assembly. Now open the SKEL.prt in a separate window if you wish and build features into it. These features, such as surfaces and solid protrusions can represent assembly envelope constraints. These surfaces and solids can be changed to opaque to enhance visibility. Also datums, datum curves, points and axis can be used to assemble components to at the assembly level. By adding component assembly constraint associativity to the SKEL.prt only will enhance flexibility at the assembly level. Motion simulation can be controlled by modifying the SKEL.prt at the assembly level. Cool Stuff PTC...
