Simplified Rep of assembly part position?

Hello


I have an assembly thatcontains fourcomponents that can be in twodifferent positions at any time. Do I have to create an family table and populate it with the variable dimensions or is there another way to display them in their various positions?, I hope I make myself clear. Another way to imagine it would be four bicycle pumps that can each either be open or closed is that only possible with a family table?
