Question about mechanisms... I made this slot mechanism with both slot and cylinder connections. Well a shifter has multiple paths. For example I could shift from first to second.... second to third... fourth to fifth. Even fifth to first. Do I need to create the multitude of path options and mechanize all that?

you can setup your movement needs tru diffrents servos by a table, then just apply the sequence you need.
