unless you want to write a short routine to cope with this, sounds like it's more trouble than its worth. I assume you just want some back versions - but not too many.
The PTC command purge.bat will remove every old file keeping only the latest. There are several 3rd party utilities that are more flexible. Spekan Purge is one that many people recommend but I've never used. There are others.
Spekan purge is great, but watch using hte 'rename to *.7' functionality. O our newer systems with the newest Spekan we had it find non-proe files that had an extra period in the file name and rename them with a *.1 extension.
