Seeking general advice on adjustable desk

Hello SW pros,

Some months ago I came up with a concept for a simple
wooden adjustable-height desk. Its main feature is the
ability to adjust from sitting-on-floor height to chair-
sitting height to full standing height.

I then spent quite a bit of time learning Solidworks and
modeling the desk with it. I have not yet actually
started any construction yet, and I was hoping to get
some thoughts and advice from the SW community first.

Some questions I hope someone may be able to answer:

<ul>[*]Do you think this design will work?
[*]How might I go about testing the assembly for
deformation/breakage? The use of wood appears to be an
obstacle here.
[*]Any ideas on improving the design, or obvious issues?[/list]
Here's a Youtube video of a slightly outdated version of
the desk showing how it goes together and how the height
is adjusted, "shot" with Solidworks:

Here's a link to the SW2009 project files:

Parts, master assembly and drawings included. Note that
the drawings are extremely amateurish; I only have
8.5"x11" paper to print with here so I crammed everything
in as best I could.

Any and all advice/suggestions are appreciated!

EDIT: fixed links.
