scantools in 2001 student edition

I am undertaking a project to reverse engineer an automotive part using an LK Co-ordinate measuring machine. Using the student version 2001, I intend to import the data (IGES) from the CMM using scantools. However, using the help files, I have found that when I am in scantools, I am unable to access the top-level geometry menu that will enable me to import
