Neither is absoluteley correct. A rigid link will rigidise between the connection entities including the mass point and also it will rigidise the connection entities themselves (surfaces, edges). A weighted link won't, so it is as though the real part has no stiffness whatsover. In reality the part you are representing will probably have some stiffness. So decide based on whether you think it will stiffen your structure or not.
