[Resolved] assembly with ellipses issue

Hello all,

I'm having an issue mating several hollow elliptical
components. In the past, when mating hollow circular
objects (ie, washers), I create a concentric mate by
selecting the inner diameter edges of each piece,
followed by a coincident mating of the faces to join them
together.

However, when I try to mate hollow ellipses, I can't seem
to create a concentric mate. Whenever I attempt to mate
the inner edges I get the following message "selected
entity is not valid for current mate."

Can anyone provide input on how to properly mate
ellipses?

Create an axis through the center of your elliptical part, and align it with the axis on the mating part.
