Removing multiple Tangent edge lines

Hello fellow Solidworks Designers and Engineers,

I was wondering if anyone knew of a program the would take a SolidWorks drawing file and selectively remove tangent edge lines. Hide edge is very time consuming. Turning off the tangent edge display in options only works in shaded mode.

I need just line drawings for Patent Applications. My models have lots of curves and tangent edges. So it takes lots of time to clean up just one drawing.

Does anyone know of an easier way to clean up these drawings?

Thanks for any input

Jim

If you right click your view in the drawing, select tangent edge (flyout), and then select tangent edges removed.

Here is a method in the part model sketch. It will also change the curvature from C1 to C2:

Use the Fit Spline tool to fit sketch segments to a spline. Fit splines
are parametrically linked to underlying geometry so that changes to the geometry
update the spline.

In an open sketch, click Fit Spline Spline Tools toolbar) or Tools, Spline
Tools, Fit Spline.
