Random Pro/E license loss

We have a user who experiences frequent and random license connection losses when working in Pro/E - PDMLink. Most often, the message indicates that the PDMLink server has gone offline, the user reconnects to the PDMlink server, and all is well. Sometimes, the user receives the message, attempts to reconnect to the PDMlink server, and experiences an app crash. Local workspace cache appears to be fine, plenty of hard drive space. He is running IE 6.0 with Windchill 9.0 M050, have recently read that the recommended IE browser is 7.0, but other users running 6.0 are not experiencing this issue. Have initiated a "constant ping" to his system, just to monitor his network connectivity. Not sure where else to proceed at this point. Any thoughts/suggestions would be welcome.

Other than Network connectivity, there is only a TCP Port interferance problem that might be your culprit. Take a look at the TCP Port set for the licensing and see if any other app on the system might also be trying to use that port for something.

Also Check the network driver on the system and make sure it is updated. If none of these seem to be the problem, then focus on Hardware. Both a possibly defective NIC, or a poor connection to the Hub.
