It's kinda like an assembly where you press a tool into a Pro/SHEETMETAL part and deform it to the tool Pro/E part.does not take into account the stretch of material but allows complex surfacing to interact with Pro/SHEETMETAL.The process goes like this (from memory): insert form, choose punch or notch. Choose between reference and copy. Place the form tool to using assembly constants. (thru the part tho not with an assembly)Choose bounding plane and seed surface and your done. Preview lets you know you placed the tool appropriately to the sheet metal part.
When you get the form to work see if you can place a bend across the form feature. that was a new feature for v13 of Pro/SHEETMETAL.

I've seen this feature on surface imports from various software packages when using Progressive Die Extension.
The manufacture needs to flatten the part and Pro/E will not flatten the surface import here because of the nominal wall. The manufacture has a royal pain pulling these features out of the iges file.
