Anyone going to the user conference? It would be great to
get a report on the following presentation.

Pro/ENGINEER Roadmap
Michael Campbell, PTC

Join this session to learn about the Pro/ENGINEER Roadmap.
We'll discuss what's new in the most recent maintenance
releases of Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0, the highlights of
Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 5.0, and share a glimpse at our
longer term plans for Pro/ENGINEER

PTC put out a request for bloggers attending the conference, but I haven't heard if they found anyone or where they'd be posting. The 'roadmap' session is one that happens every year, I believe.

Great! I offered (I've been blogging personally for 5+ years), but I'd need help getting there. They couldn't do that.

Got an address for your blog yet?

I attended at Polish PTC conference last week(21-22.05.09). It was all about what should we accpect from incoming WF 5.0 and newest PDMLink release.

There are few features which catched my attention on:

*special, new rib tool, which - at last - allow user to create ribs based on profile with self intersecting lines. I was looking forward for this tool so long, I am happy now it is going to be implemented

*creating datum points and axes in sketcher - great thing

*G2 rounds

and many more

There is still one thing I regret it wasn`t addressed - What is PTC`s roadmap regarding Pro/E interface?

Some cute enhancment were introduced regarding dashboard, but how long we can pretend dashboard is the future solution?

I missed clear and solid goal PTC and Pro/Engineer is trying to face...

Yeah for sure there will be some nice new features, but we
are now at WF 5 and the Menu Manager is still there - will
it ever be removed?

With UNIX gone when will it go PC native?

PTC need to clean this up and move forward.

I will be at the conference, though I hadn't planned to attend that particular session.

Is anyone else going?

@moriarty

"With UNIX gone when will it go PC native"

Solaris X64 is still in there which is good for me, my primary platform.
