PTC License Server

Hello all. I want to install wildfire 3.0 M100 but to do this, I have to (if I don't have to, I want to) uninstall everything what is connected with older version of 3.0 (F000). However, I have some troubles uninstalling PTC License Server (flexnet?). When I try to uninstall it on Control Panel / Add Remove Programs, I get an error:
'' Some PTC License Server executables cannot be deleted. Please exit any currently running PTC License Server processes and verify that you have proper permissions to delete the PTC License Server directory. ''

I tried to shut down the server with the program Tcpview but it doesn't work. Could someone please tell me how to uninstall PTC License Server (windows xp sp2)?

I hope I will get an answer because noone replied on my other topic which I made (different section) and I cannot resume with my proe learning until I don't uninstall the server.

Thank you! and merry christmas to all!

You have to stop the flexnet service. You can do it:

Right click "My computer" - manage - services - stop the flexnet service.

BTW you don't have to uninstall FlexNet, normal you just can reinstall the new version in top of the old. This is the same for ProE when it is same version but just a newer build.

jnoval thank you very much for this information. All I needed is exsactly the reply which you made. Thank you!
