Is it just me ...or is someone missing on this list

Files You Can Use in DEPOCAM

You can import data using any of the file types listed below. However, any changes you make to the data, once it is used by DEPOCAM, can be saved only as a .dca file.

The files that you can import into DEPOCAM are:
<UL =Bullet-1>
<LI =kadov-p>DEPOCAM Archive files which are used for work in progress and are the only files that you can save as well as import, with filetype extension .dca
<LI =kadov-p>Machining Strategist Archive files that were created using version 4.0 or 4.1 of Machining Strategist, with filetype extension .msa
<LI =kadov-p>ToolMaker CAD v.10.3 or earlier, and CAM files which have the filetype extension .dtb or .ddb
<LI =kadov-p>NC Graphics CLD files which have the filetype extension .cld
<LI =kadov-p>IGES files which have the filetype extension .igs
<LI =kadov-p>VDA files which have the filetype extension .vda
<LI =kadov-p>STL files which have the filetype extension .stl
<LI =kadov-p>RAW files which have the filetype extension .raw
<LI =kadov-p>SolidWorks files which have the filetype extension .sldprt or .sldasm
<LI =kadov-p>Parasolid files which have the filetype extension .x_t, .x_b, .p_t or .p_b
<LI =kadov-p>CATIA v.4 files which have the filetype extension .model, .exp or .dlv
<LI =kadov-p>CATIA v.5 files which have the filetype extension .CATPart
[/list]

Please note that SolidWorks files, Parasolid files, and CATIA files can be imported into DEPOCAM only if you have the appropriate translator installed. Translators can be purchased from your agent.

Hi

This will be old story, there will be some changes after PTC acquisition

what is the difference between Depo cam and NC graphics ( tool maker)

and what will happen to pro- mould?

Regards

Leow

My guess is: PTC will continue to market Depocam as a standalone, in order to better penetrate the SMB market (sorta like what some guys here are doing with Mastercam and SolidWorks); while the will probably introduce a Pro/TOOLMAKER for current PTC MCAD customers.
