Is there any way to read files from the student version of Pro/E wildfire in the full version of Pro/E wildfire 3.0? Currently when I try it is not allowed.
Files created in the student edition are not usable by the commercial version, and visa-versa. This is by design. Otherwise, people could easily rip PTC off by doing nearly all their work with the inexpensive student edition.
Yes, Education Version (Student Version) can be read within the same version. Just not able to read in a Commercial Version. Should you need to read Commercial files, then you need to add a module to your education version. It is called "Edu to Comm". Check with your PTC Rep for this.
