I'm new to PRO_E and PRO-NC. I've searched the web and other forums but ...all I see is about modeling or drafting. Isn't PRO-NC a good solid package or do you use another cam package????
Sorry I put this in Software development first.
Pro/NC is one of the premier NC packages you can buy. Also very good is UG/NX. Both utilize associative machining of the reference model withno 'intermediate' translation of the geometry so that the toolpaths always reflect the current geometry.
Another resource is the manuf newsgroup at ptcuser.org.
I agree with Peter. Pro/NC is no doubt a world class software. It has been lacking some crucial features untill version 2001 but after the relaease of wildfire it is again in the mainstream. The main advantage over mid-range softwares is its associativity and no need to translate data.
