pro/e 2001 student edition and window xp home edition

I'm having a problem running Pro/E 2001 Student Edition on

Windows XP home edition and I'm hoping you can give me some direction.



I have recently purchased a new Compaq Presario6016US with AMD Athlon 1800 and nVidia Geforce2 32mb grahics. I installed the software but when trying to start Pro/E nothing happens for 5 to 10 minutes. Then the Pro/E windows appear but the software locks up at that point.



Does anyone know of any issues with running the Student Version or any other on Windows XP - shed some light if you can,

I've never had a problem.



Make sure when you install Pro/E you click both NT and 98 platforms.
