I am somewhat new to Solidworks and I was just wondering, what is the
easiest way to upload an image onto a surface of a part? I have tried
everything and can't seem to find out how to do it. Is it even possible?
I've converted the image from raster to vector, then used theWRAP command and used it as emboss on my other object. Converting from raster to vector, use 2D sketch over image.
I ask because SW is woefully lacking any sort of "offset curve on surface" or "map u-v space to surface face" -the wrap command is heavily handicapped to only planar/cylindrical/conical faces, and is useless to me 80% of the time I would like to use it.
These are features that would seriously aid in modeling complex organic shapes for consumer product design.
Features like these make me want to switch to Think3 more everyday... They own their own kernel and it shows!
