pcf file help

Please forgive me is this sounds elementary, trying to wrap my mind around the sequence of events that must happen to add a plotter.
I have a HP1055CM (postscript 3 supported) plotter that I just added to my network.
Background/Things I believe to be true:
1) Set the load point for the new plotter/printer (loadpoint\text\plot_config)
2) Create a new pcf

When I visit the PCF file location I do not see text files that have the below format type and I am curious why I do not see something like the below example pulled from the WWW that I can tweak to fill my needs?

Trying to understand the basics of configuring this plotter and the correct roadmap to adding the plot device.
I believe I did a fairly comprehensive research but I am always nervous about adding/changing something without a clear understanding

That looks OK. I didn't check every line. Here is what I have in our default.pcf for a Deskjet T2300

The example pulled from the WWW and the examples you have posted seem to follow some form of logical descriptive definition that outline print/plot parameter definition.
When I open the existing PCF files they contain no such text data fields resembling the aforementioned examples
