Not sure that I understand your question. Sounds like you want to know if a drawing already exist doe a part or an assembly and you do not have intralink.
I think there is a config setting RENAME_DRAWING_WITH OBJECT set it to yes and then copy the partto a new name, the drawing should also be copied under the name (if it exist).
