Parameters in Preview/File Open window w/o a PDM system

Is there a way to show the parameters (say DESCRIPTION or PART NO.) of a prt or asm file in the >File >Open window when you don't have Intralink or any other PDM system. It's still 1 1/2 yrs to 2 yrs before mgt will implement any PDM system on our ProE system but we need this functionality. We have Pro/TOOLKIT.
