OS? for CATIA

1st let me introduce myself as I'm new to the forum. I'm a NC Programmer (contractor) currently using v4 and will be migrating to v5 in the very near future. I am in the market for a new notebook for using on the road, the mainuses will be for v5 and also multimedia (video & digital photo processing).


Will CATIA v5r16 run on a Win XP Media Center operating system?

I still kinda new at the whole catia stuff but my thoughts would be no. I have tried to install it on XP home and does not seem to work. I have not tried to install anything on media center so take my thoughts for what they are worth.

IBM and Dassault Systemes have released a list of CATIA certified hardware that should suit your needs. These lists are available at the link below or on the 3DS.com website. These list covers awide variety of OS's as well. but for note books mainly XP OS.
