offseting a line in sketch mode

Hello All,


Iam sorry if iam repeating this question again the forum, but yest when i was doing a model and trying to build up sketch for the same i noticed that there is no option to offset line in the sketch mode, sorry to say this but i never felt use of that option before, but still i felt strange because this option i have found in every othere CAD package.


can you please help me out how to deal with these kind of situation if a need arise or am i missing the option in pro-e

Thank you for the effort yaa ur right offset can be done only when there is a feature already created... the other best way to do is sketch a profile using THIN option and then define the thickness... i hope this solves the question i have put up...but i wonder have PTC introduced OFFSET option in W.F-5.0.

Yes, it can be done in WF5. Unfortunately the offset only creates sketch entities without the offset dimension. You have to dimension the offseted entities manually.
