Need help to modify post

Hi all post gurus,


i've been working on this post for a week. There are still a couple of things i can't get done. i'm really in need of some help here.


first problem,if i have 2 or more tools in the program i need to have the tool called out again at the safety line before tool change.


Second problem, i need a M29 and the RPM posted out in a line right above theG84. This is for rigid tapping. please refer to the file below.

Good Morning pronc,


It is a little hard to give you any help if we do not know what system you are using to create post processors. I am going to assume it is G-Post. If it is then for your first question, you will need to create a custom macro for the toolchange using FIL. In it you will need to have a variable that captured the last tool number, recall it, and then place it where you need it. As for your second question, you will need to create a custom macro for your rigid tapping. You can accomplish what you need by putting an insert statement before the cycle call and merge the spindle statement with it.

Hi pronc,

As Cristopher stated, your question needs to include whether you're
using G Post or Pro/NCPost. I'm an "old timer" who's using Pro/
NCPost, and (if I do say so myself) am quite good at it. I'd be happy
to help you if this is what you're using, but I'm sorry to say I can't
help you if G Post is your flavor...
