NC shtmetal - Autonest?

Is anyone using NC sheetmetal for its auto-nesting function? I am trying to learn it and I was wondering if there are any good tutorials out there? Tips & tricks?

We use it intermittently. It't not the most effecient, but it works for what we need. Just go into "Automation" and it is pretty self explanatory. Make sure you checkoff "Clustering" so that it allows other parts to intrude on the rectangle it draws around each part.

You're right it is borderline self explanatory, but how do you translate the mfg file to a dxf file for use on a burn table, for example?

Just make a temporary drawing file, and then do a Save A Copy to type DXF. We then use the DXF in the FlowMaster software that runs our waterjet.
