In a design that I am working on, I have created a helical sweep to simulate an acme thread. I have a part that I want to move along this acme thread, does anyone know what connections or conditions would make this scenario possible.
create a point on the inner surface of the nut and a wrap curve coincident with the helical sweep. Now assemble the nut with the part having acme thread through cylinder joint only. Now go to Mechanism through Applications. Create a slot-follower connection. Be careful to select all the acme thread curve by holding down the CTRL key with selection.
Now create a servo motor and run the mechanism. Your simulation will exactly look like the actual and what you want.
